XMAX V3 Pro Glass Mouthpieces Compared: Long Straight, Long Angled, Short Black or Cooling Beads?
Share
For most XMAX V3 Pro owners, the long straight 110 mm stem is the simple upgrade, the long angled 110 mm stem is the comfort pick, the short shaded black 60 mm stem is the compact and discreet choice, and the 130 mm cooling beads stem is the one to choose if you want a cooler draw without water. All four also fit the XMAX V4 Pro.
All four glass mouthpieces are made by The Vapetrix, not by XMAX, and they all need a compatible black plastic base (mount). The base is not included and we do not sell one. Our overview of XMAX V3 Pro and V4 Pro accessories explains the full range, and you can browse everything in the XMAX accessories collection.

1. Quick Comparison
| Stem | Length | Pack | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Long straight | 110 mm | 2 | A simple, classic upgrade |
| Long angled | 110 mm | 2 | A more comfortable mouthpiece angle |
| Short shaded black | 60 mm | 2 | Compact, discreet, hides marks |
| Cooling beads | 130 mm | 1 | Cooler draw without water |
Length is the main difference. A longer stem gives vapor more distance to travel before it reaches your mouth, which is why the two 110 mm stems and the 130 mm beads stem are described as cooler than shorter options. The 60 mm stem trades some of that for a neater, smaller setup.
2. Long Straight, 110 mm
The Long Straight Glass Stem is the plain, familiar shape. If you have never changed the mouthpiece on your XMAX, this is the easiest place to start. It comes as a pack of two, so you always have a spare while one is soaking in alcohol or if one is dropped.
Choose it if: you want the least fuss and a longer air path than a short stem. Skip it if: you find a straight mouthpiece uncomfortable.
3. Long Angled, 110 mm
The Long Angled Glass Stem has the same 110 mm length as the straight one, but the mouthpiece is bent. That gives a more natural mouth position and keeps your face slightly further from the top of the device. It is a good choice for relaxed use at home. It also comes as a pack of two.
Choose it if: comfort matters more to you than the neatest possible shape. Skip it if: you want the most compact setup for carrying around.
4. Short Shaded Black, 60 mm
The Short Shaded Black Glass Stem is the smallest of the four. The dark, smoky glass hides normal marks and residue better than clear glass, so the stem looks cleaner for longer between cleans. It is an easy travel or spare-part option. Like the others it is a pack of two.
Choose it if: you want a discreet, compact stem. Skip it if: you like to see the glass and check how clean it is by eye. Dark glass makes that harder, so clean it on a regular schedule.
5. Cooling Beads, 130 mm
The Glass Cooling Beads Stem is the longest at 130 mm, and it has glass beads in the main body. The beads add surface area and break up the airflow, so the vapor cools slightly before it reaches the mouthpiece. You can see the bead chamber through the clear glass. It is sold singly, not in a pack of two.
Choose it if: you want a cooler draw but do not want to fill and clean a water piece. If you do want water, see the water bubbler and water pipe adapter in our XMAX accessories collection.
6. V3 Pro Only Extras: Dimpled Stem and Spacers
Two more items are worth knowing about, but they are for the V3 Pro only and are not listed for the V4 Pro.
- The Dimpled Cooling Glass Stem (75 mm, pack of two) is listed for the POTV Lobo, POTV ONE and XMAX V3 Pro. It is a shorter cooling option.
- The Glass Backspacer Set (2, 3 and 5 mm) is listed for the XMAX V3 Pro and XLux Roffu only. Spacers sit behind the material in the stem to create a gap from the heating element, so you can experiment with the spacing. Despite the old “arizer-argo” in its web address, it is not an Arizer ArGo part.
7. Fitting and Everyday Use
Each stem is a glass piece that goes onto the black base, so it is worth checking two things when it arrives. First, seat it gently and fully rather than forcing it. Second, keep a note of which stem you are using if you own several, because a longer stem changes how the draw feels and you may want to adjust your habits slightly. Longer stems are also more likely to catch on a pocket or bag, so a short stem is the better travelling companion. Glass is reusable, but it is still glass, so a spare from a pack of two is genuinely useful.
8. Which Should You Buy?
- One stem to start with: the long straight, or the long angled if comfort matters.
- Travel and discretion: the short shaded black.
- Cooler vapor, no water: the cooling beads stem.
- Experimenting with airflow and heat spacing on a V3 Pro: add the spacer set.
Whichever you pick, check that you have the black base first. Glass care is the same for all of them: soak in isopropyl alcohol, rinse with warm water and dry fully before use.
Final Thoughts
The stems are close in price and in how they fit, so the choice comes down to length, shape and how you use the device. Buying a pack of two straight or angled stems is a low-risk way to try one.
